Summary Violence in the metropolis continues unabated despite law enforcer's ongoing targeted action.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – At least four people have been killed in recent spate of violence in Karachi today (Friday), Dunya News reported.
Two bodies were found within the limits of Mochko police station and Korangi industrial area.
According to police, the victims were tortured to death.
Another mutilated body was found from a house in New Karachi area.
Meanwhile, a person was injured in a shooting incident near Old Sabzi Mandi. The rescue teams rushed him to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Separately, unknown gunmen opened firing at Kalakot police station’s gate, injuring a policeman and woman.
The injured cop was in critical condition, police said.
Another policeman was injured in an encounter with suspected criminals in Ranchore Line area.
Karachi, the country’s largest city, has seen scores of attacks against security personnel in recent years, as well as high rates of political and other forms of targeted killings.
In 2013, more than 2,700 people were killed in the city of around 15 million people, with police coming under particular pressure.
