Pakistan welcomes Chidambarams visit: Rehman

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan welcomes Indian FMs visit to Pakistan to participate in SAARC conference. He said that SAARC conference would provide best opportunity to review the threat to regional security and a new era of relationship would start among SAARC members. Regional security is of great significance for Pakistan and every step will be taken to establish peace in the region, he added. Malik said that Indian Interior Minister P Chadambarams statement in context to SAARC conference was laudable. Meanwhile, Interior Minister said that security agencies have been given more authority to get rid of violence. Talking to media after participation in Sindh Assembly session, he said that if extremists make new strategy, the government would also change its tactics. He said the MQM and PPP alliance in Sindh would not be harmed.
