(Web Desk) - At least 11 people were killed and four others injured when a jeep fell into a ravine in Pakistan s north Chitral district Saturday morning, Dunya News reported.
The passenger jeep with about 18 people onboard was on its way to Chitral from Gokhir village when it fell into a deep ravine.
According to initial reports by police, the jeep plunged into the ravine while taking a sharp turn at the mountainous terrain of Chitral, a district in the country s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The injured have been shifted to district hospital where two of them are said to be in critical condition.
Road accidents often happen in Chitral mainly due to poor roads and over-loading.
