Summary Exchange of firing between rival groups continued in different areas of Lyari on Friday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Some unknown assailants opened firing in Banaras Chowk Pakhtun Market killing a local leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to details, PPP’s West District president Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was critically injured in firing and succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
The dead body of the PPP office bearer was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
On the other hand, exchange of firing between two rival groups started in Jona Market and Bahar Colony areas of Lyari that continues so far. Panic spread in the locality while residents of the area confined to their homes due to the situation.
Police were present in the surrounding areas however violence grips Lyari due to absence of police inside the area.
Meanwhile, a man was injured in firing in Musa Lane area of Lyari who was rushed to hospital for treatment.
