Mastung: (Dunya News) – At least 18 pilgrims have been killed while another 20 injured in an attack on 2 busses en route to Quetta from Iran here on Tuesday. One of the two buses has been completely destroyed in the attack. Among injured are members of Levies convoy. The attack took place at Dareen Garh area of Mastung; preliminary reports suggest that around 100 KG of explosives was used to carry out the attack.
The whole site was ablaze; security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site. Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain have strongly condemned the attack and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) has announced 3-day mourning.
Earlier this month, a similar attack took place that had left 3 killed and 17 injured.
