QUETTA (Dunya News) - At least three kidnappers were killed in Quetta in an operation near Sariab Road on Tuesday.
The operation resulted in a cross-fire between the kidnappers and police officials which left one police official, one Anti Terrorist Force (ATF) official and one passerby injured.
Quetta police chief Abdul Razaq Cheema said the police force conducted a raid at a house located in the area after receiving information of the presence of kidnappers. Upon reaching the house, the police were met with firing and hand grenade attacks in which an ASI, policeman and bystander were injured.
Three alleged kidnappers were killed in retaliatory fire.
Following the clash, police searched the house and recovered a kidnapped individual in injured condition who was identified as Mukesh Kumar a trader by profession.
Kumar had been kidnapped from the Sariab area of the city and was shifted to the CMH hospital for treatment.
