Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that Pakistan has suffered immense losses due to terrorism and extremism.COAS was speaking to the foreign media, where he said that the Pakistani army and civilians have suffered immense losses in the ongoing war against terror however both the army and the civilians have high moral. COAS said that the success in the war on terror is linked to public opinion, support of the media and the abilities of Pakistani army. COAS said that he highlighted the efforts and the role of Pakistani armed forces during the NATO summit.COAS also said that Pakistan wants to see friendly and stable Afghanistan. Since the operation in Waziristan the situation in Afghanistan has improved.
