LAHORE (Web Desk) - To ensure the causality-free conduct of the Basant festival, the Punjab government has decided to legislate the event, sources told Dunya News on Wednesday.
In this regard, recommendations are pouring in to make the festival a safe event.
The legislation is being framed to award strict punishment to violators of rules.
As per legislation, thread (dor) used for kite flying must be approved by the PCSIR.
People using the non-approved thread and its makers would be sentenced to ten years in prison, sources told.
