ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff Gen. Raheel Sharif has reportedly met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the developments in the treason trial of former president Pervez Musharraf and his health conditions, Dunya News reported.
According to the reports, the civil and military leadership met in Islamabad to meet and discuss today’s developments regarding Musharraf’s treason trial.
Former president Pervez Musharraf was rushed to the military hospital earlier today after he suffered from heart problem which later turned out to be a heart attack. Following his failure to appear before the court, judges of the special court deliberated in their chambers for several hours and ruled not to issue arrest warrants.His transfer abroad for treatment purposes is highly speculated.
Earlier today, Army Chief headed the corpse commander conference at GHQ Rawalpindi where the military leadership discussed the issues including Line of Control violations, border security with special concentration on conditions of tribal areas and bordering areas with neighboring Afghanistan. The leadership expressed satisfaction over recent talks between Indo-Pak GMOs in the wake of LoC violations. The conference further discussed overall matters of national security in detail.
