Summary Altaf Hussain is being troubled by baseless propaganda in London, the MQM leader said.

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MPA Rauf Siddiqui on Wednesday wrote letter to British Prime Minister David Cameron and Scotland Yard, stating that media trial and negative propaganda against Altaf Hussain is condemnable.

Rauf Siddiqui mentioned in his letter that there is no case registered against the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain but he was still being mentally tortured by the British authorities.

“Why MQM chief Altaf Hussain is being troubled by baseless propaganda there,” asked Rauf Siddiqui.

He said they were fully cooperating with the Scotland Yard in the investigation of Imran Farooq murder case.

Imran Farooq was murdered on 16 September 2010 in London.

The Scotland Yard had launched an investigation and had also arrested a suspect who was released later for lack of evidence.

Farooq had co-founded the All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation (APMSO), the parent organisation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, with Altaf Hussain. He was deputy convener of the party, technically next in line to the MQM chief.

But he was believed to have left the party in 2009 after developing differences over organisational matters.
