Results of 258 polling stations of NA-21 by-polls have been received so far. Returning Officer Khalid Waheed told that turnout remained 21 percent while JUIs candidate has slight majority. However, there is strong competition among candidtates. There were 10 candidates contesting in NA-21 Mansehra 2 which included Tahir Ali of PML-N, Nawabzada Salahudin of PPP, Laiq Mohammad Khan of JUI and Zargul Khan of PML-Q. This seat of National Assembly became vacant after the death of Faiz Mohammad Khan of PML-N.Although final results of 138 polling stations in Tanawal were announced in which PML-N candidate was leading; where as PPP was second, JUI third and PML-Q was fourth. According to Returning Officer Khalid Waheed, there is a delay in results of 12 to 15 polling stations located in Kala Dhaka mountain range due to heavy snowfall there; however the results of these polling stations will be announced anytime after the morning today. According to the pact between political parties, women were not allowed to cast their votes in the constituency.
