Summary At least 11 people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi on Sunday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Target killing continues in Karachi as 11 more people, including three candidates of upcoming local bodies elections, lost their lives on Sunday.

According to details, three local bodies elections candidates of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) were returning home in a taxi after filing their nomination papers when some unidentified gunmen opened fire at them, killing Haleem Hazara and Safdar Hussain on the spot while injuring two others. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where another candidate Arshad also succumbed to his wounds.

Earlier, four members of a family were shot dead in Musharraf Colony in Maripur. All the deceased were killed after abduction.

In another incident of firing, a police Constable named Saeed was shot dead in Gulshan Iqbal while two people were gunned down in two separate incidents of firing in Korangi and Badia respectively.

Police have also recovered a dead body from Mangu Pir area. The identity of the deceased is not yet known.
