The government has increased security of nuclear scientist Dr. AQ Khan and other leading scientists of the country after recent incidents of abduction and killing of scientist in neighboring countries. The decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Rehman Malik.On the directive of Prime Minister, the meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Information, Minister for Law and Justice, Secretary Interior, Director General of Strategic Plans Division, Chief Commissioner ICT and other officials. The security of our nuclear capability is very important and paramount for the country. Therefore various measures in this respect were discussed to ensure foolproof security for Dr. AQ khan and other scientists. Talking to media after the meeting, Rehman Malik said that Dr. AQ Khan wanted to visit a place 5 kilometers away from Rawalpindi, so his life might be in danger. He said that the government is increasing his security and it should not be considered as restrictions on his movement.
