Punjab Health Minister Khalil Tahir Sindhu resigned after criticism from Punjab chief minister.

LAHORE (Dunya News) –Punjab Health Minister Khalil Tahir Sindhu resigned from his post after being reprimanded by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on spread of dengue in Punjab during provincial cabinet meeting on November 9.

Khalil Tahir Sindhu, who was Health and Minority Affairs minister has sent his resignation to Punjab chief minister.

Talking to Dunya News, Tahir Sindhu said that that 362 people died of dengue virus in Punjab in 2011 but no minister resigned.

He further said that no minister claimed responsibility when more than 300 people died due to PIC medicine scandal and 192 children died of measles during current year.

Tahir Sindhu said that he was criticized for the death of only 10 persons due to dengue virus this year. He said that he has resigned from his posts but will remain a PML-N worker and continue work for the party.
