A meeting of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) was held on Thursday in which the situation of national security against internal and external threats faced by Pakistan was reviewed. The meeting presided over by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Tariq Majeed reviewed the changes in the Arabian Sea and balance of power in the region. During the meeting, issues including the complicated challenges to the internal security, ongoing operation against the terrorists in the tribal region and rehabilitation of the displaced people were also discussed.The committee also expressed its satisfaction over the defense preparations of the armed forces. COAS General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kyani, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Admiral Noman Bashir and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
