A protest was held at Babar Market Karachi against the continuous robberies. Angry protestors surrounded the Landhi Police station. Protestors put on fire the traffic police check point. According to the shopkeepers, criminals had given them advance warning which was conveyed to police. Police was present in the area today, however it took no steps to stop the criminals, when they came for robbery. Shopkeepers themselves tried to resist the robbery and in the process several people got injured. After the robbery, the criminals fled. Shopkeepers and locals surrounded the Lahndi police station and burnt tyres due to which traffic was blocked.Police fired shells on the protestors and called in the Rangers. Afterwards, Rangers held dialogues with the shopkeepers and guaranteed that action would be taken against those responsible, after which the angry protestors dispersed and traffic resumed.
