The power shortfall has declined to 4000megawatts from 7000MW due to shortage of water, oil and gas.According to Water and Power Ministry, the hydel power generation was reduced by 6000MW owing to the decline in water discharge from the dams.Only 100MW are being produced by Tarbela Dam, while Mangla Dam electricity generation is completely suspended.Gas supply to Rental Power Plants is severed whereas cut in furnace oil supply to thermal power houses reduced its power generation.
