Missing persons:SC orders special desk at Interior Ministry

The Supreme Court has directed to form a special desk at the Interior Ministry to assist the relatives of missing persons on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.During the hearing of a missing person Mustafa Azams case, the court was told that the ongoing military operation was the reason behind IG FC Major General Tariqs absence from court; however the court ordered him to do appear during the next hearing. IG and Director Operations of Interior Ministry NWFP were also summoned in the court with a comprehensive report in this regard.Justice Raja Fiaz remarked that it seemed as if the agencies picked the people and then involved them in different cases making the situation worse. The case was adjourned till January 20.
