Summary Minister says retired generals can be indicted in violation of constitution under Article Six.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali has said that former President Pervaiz Musharraf will be indicted for violation of constitution under the Article 6.
In a press conference here, Nisar said FIA had been given six weeks for starting proceedings against Pervaiz Musharraf under Article 6.
He said retired army generals could be made part of investigations and there was no pressure from army in this connection.
About Sindh government’s proposal to impose ban on some social media sites, the minister said he was not in favour of any kind of ban on the social media.
He said Karachi situation and talks with Taliban were very sensitive issues and he would speak in detail on these issues after Eid.
Nisar said corruption was rampant in all departments, including the ministries.
He alleged that 70,000 arms licenses were issued without verification of NICs during the tenure of the previous governemnt.
Illegal SIMs were the major cause of terrorism in the country, the minister said.
