Summary Notice over rigging in NA-249 orders MQM leader to submit reply till October 24.
KARACHI (Online) - Election tribunal on Saturday while issuing notice to Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar over alleged rigging in NA-249 has ordered him to submit reply till October 24.
Pakistan Peoples Party’s contestant from NA-249, Abdul Aziz Memon has submitted application in election tribunal that were formed to deal election complaints that elections has been rigged and fake votes have polled in his constituency.
So, the tribunal while rejecting election results of that constituency also rejected success notification of Dr Farooq Sattar and asked him to submit reply till Oct 24.
In other proceedings, the tribunal adjourned the hearings of filed pleas of MQM candidates Iqbal Muhammad Ali and Waqar Hussain Shah against National Data Base and Registration Authority’s report (NADRA) over NA-256 and PS-128 till October 26.
Meanwhile, election tribunal also adjourned hearing over Pakistan Muslim League-Functional’s (PML-F) Mir Nawaz Ali against alleged rigging in PS-32 by PPP’s Manzoor Wasan.
