Summary Accountability court has issued notices to the Prosecutor General of NAB in this regard.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday reopened five references against former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The references have pending during last five years due to immunity to Asif Ali Zardari as the President of Pakistan and now the NAB has started process of reopening the references as tenure of the former president ended on September 9 and he does not enjoy immunity.
The accountability court has issued notices to the Prosecutor General of NAB and Asif Ali Zardari. The Prosecutor General has been directed to inform the court about the ending of former president’s immunity.
On Wednesday, the Swiss authorities had refused to reopen cases against Asif Ali Zardari and said that the government had delayed in submitting its request.
