Summary At least seven people, including two cops, were killed in acts of violence in Karachi on Wednesday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Despite the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi launched by Rangers and police against miscreants, target killing continues as seven more people were killed in the city on Wednesday.

According to details, some unidentified gunmen riding on motorcycle opened fire near Anda More area of North Karachi and seriously injured SHO Sir Syed Police Station, Irfan Haider and Investigation Officer New Karachi Police Station, Shahbaz.

Both the police officers were rushed to hospital but they succumbed to their wounds.

Earlier, gunmen riding on motorcycles opened fire in Korangi Dhai Number and killed Saeed Bangush and Kamran on the spot. According to police, both the deceased belonged to a political party.

In another incident of violence, miscreants shot dead a man named Nisar Ahmad who was a watchman of a private school while worker of a garment factory, Janan Khan, was gunned down in Quaidabad area.

In yet another incident of firing, some unidentified gunmen opened fire and shot dead a man in Musa Lane area of Lyari.
