Summary Shahbaz Bhatti's assassination was planned by Tanvir and Abdul Sittar, the accused revealed.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A speical anti-terrorism court (ATC) has extended the physical remand of Hammad Adil for another three days in Shahbaz Bhatti murder case today (Monday).

According to documents obtained by Dunya News, accused Hamad Adil has confessed that his accomplices Tanvir Abdul Sittar and Abdullah were involved in killing of the former minister for minorities.

He said that they monitored all the situation outside Shahbaz Bhatti s residence on March 1, 2011.

The accused further stated that next day he intercepted the minister s car while Abdul Sittar and Abdullah sprayed bullets on his vehicle.

He revealed that he met both suspects in Wana and received training there.

Federal Minorities’ Minister Shahbaz Bhatti had been assassinated in broad daylight on March 2, 2011, in an ambush in the Sector I-8/3 area of the capital.

At the time of the attack he was alone, without any security.
