Governor Punjab Salman Taseer has said that President Zardari would remain in power for as many years as he spent in prison. The Governor maintained that the province has been bankrupted due to Shahbaz Sharif. Addressing a ceremony in connection with the birthday of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Lahore on Monday,the Governor wondered that why did the CM seek Zardaris resignation, adding the President had spent 11 years and those years would not go in vain.Terming Sharifs as international defaulters, Taseer said that both of them escaped abroad on seeing the prison.He enlisted that Punjab government was facing a loss of Rs80billion; Punjab governments Food Scheme ended in fiasco incurring a loss of Rs60billion, whereas Rs6billion lost on Sasti Roti scheme.The Governor noted that neither the Punjab cabinet session usually held nor did the CM attend any, nor there were any education or health ministers in the province.There was no worth of PML-N Punjab ministers he said and wondered that who took decisions for the province.He said that Nawaz Sharif got to know that PPP was a national asset of late, alleging that they kept mum during the 10-year Army regime but started blabbering in the current democratic set up.
