MQM and PPP leaders on Sunday announced to end hurling accusations on each other and to strengthen bilateral ties. Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said we are united and will work together while MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar vowed to jointly cope with the conspiracies.Talking to media after a high level meeting of ruling coalition parties in Sindh including MQM, PPP, Muslim League Functional and ANP at Governor House Karachi, Malik said drug and land mafia are responsible for deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi. Nobody will be allowed to disturb the peace of the city. The interior minister told that President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain was also contacted during the meeting. It was unanimously agreed that leveling accusations against each other will be put to an end. He told that spokesmen for PPP and MQM have been designated and only they would be eligible to state partys views.MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar, on the occasion, said his party demands to end target killing immediately. He said recent spree of violent incidents is not linked with politics or racial discrimination, adding that no worker of PPP or MQM is involved in it. Farooq Sattar told it was decided in the meeting that mutual consultation will be enhanced and conspiracies will be dealt jointly.Earlier, a meeting of ruling coalition parties including PPP and MQM in Sindh regarding present law and order situation in Karachi was held.The meeting jointly chaired by Governor and Chief Minister Sindh was held in Governor House Karachi to discuss law and order situation in the city. The meeting also discussed how to diffuse increasing tension between MQM and PPP after Karachi Ashura blast and target killing incidents.Dr. Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, Adil Siddiqui and Sardar Ahmed attended the meeting from MQM while Rehman Malik, Rafiq Engineer, Manzoor Wasan, Rashid Rabbani and Najmi Alam attended from PPP side. He told that both the parties agree on continuing reconciliation process.
