Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that there is no need to call army into Karachi as yet; however, he added that decision to this effect could be taken if needed.Talking to media in Karachi, the minister said that police force would also be used when needed.He noted that police strength was not ample to oversee every nook and corner and that was why Rangers help was taken. He shared with the media information regarding many probable terrorist attacks in the city.He deplored the deaths of PPP workers, saying that their blood would not go in vain. The minister added that he would attend the funeral of MQM members, who died in the incidents of target killings. He cited the involvement of Afghan refugees and foreign hand in the prevailing situation of Karachi.It merits mentioning here that MQM sought Rangers, intelligence agencies and Armys help to deal with the ongoing target killings in Karachi the other night. However, the interior minister while talking to Dunya News denied any such demand made by MQM.
