At least seven people were killed including a woman and Chairman Save Trans Lyari Movement Nadir Ali Baloch and nine others were injured due to clash between two political groups in Lyari Town Karachi. The families and friends carrying bodies of the killed reached in front of Chief Minister House to protest the killings, reported Dunya News on Thursday. According to police, the firing incidents began when a beheaded body of a political worker was found from the area. His death triggered incidents of firing in Dhobi Ghat, Garden, Shoe market, Usman Abad and Eidgah areas adjacent to Lyari Town. As a result seven casualties have been reported while nine people sustained injuries. Following the firing incidents, shops and business activities were suspended while residents remained stuck in their homes in the troubled areas. Meanwhile, the families carrying bodies of the killed removed all the barriers on their way and gathered in front of Chief Minister House. However, after receiving assurance of immediate arrest of the killers, the protestors dispersed.
