KARACHI: A meeting headed by Sindh Chief Minster Qaim Ali Shah held here on Thursday. The meeting reviewed targeted operation carried out by Rangers and other law enforcement agencies.
IG police and DG Rangers briefed the CM on the operation.
The future strategy regarding the operation was also discussed during the meeting. The meeting decided that legislation would be made to stop forced strikes.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that operation without any discrimination had been started in Karachi with consultation of all political parties.
He appreciates the efficiency of law enforcement agencies and directed to them to block routes of escape of terrorists.
The meeting also discussed the proposed amendments for the effective prosecution process.
The federal cabinet last Wednesday empowered Rangers to start a targeted operation with the support of police against targeted killers, kidnappers and extortionists to end terrorism and restore peace in Karachi.
