Summary Prices of fruit and vegetable have gone down after operation against extortionists.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Islamabad police have arrested seven Afghan people for allegedly being involved in extortion on Thursday. The policemen who supported accused would also be brought to justice.
On the direction of Islamabad High Court and Interior Minister, law enforcement agencies launched an operation and arrested Asim Khan, Habibullah, Pir Muhammad, Jamil Shah, Gul Wali, Habiburehman and Abdul Wali. All of the accused used to take money directly from traders and other wealthy people by force.
Police have registered case the accused under sections 383, 386 and 109 while police employees who assisted the criminal elements would also be interrogated and tried in accordance with rules and regulations.
It is worth mentioning that prices of fruit and vegetable have gone down by Rs 10 to Rs 20 per kg after operation against extortionists.
