KARACHI (Dunya News) - Life returned to normal for the citizens of Karachi on Wednesday. Educational institutions, offices and public transport returned to usual routine.

After the arrest of a former provincial legislator belonging to the party, Nadeem Hashmi, a shutdown was observed in Karachi and in some areas of Hyderabad. The city experienced a violent day in which vehicles were burnt and several people lost their lives.

However, hustle bustle in the city today gives no hint of the violence that ensued a day before.

Regular vehicular movement was seen on the roads, petrol pumps and CNG stations also opened giving a major relief to motorists.

All educational institutes, private and public, were conducting classes as per regular schedule.

Offices and factories were open for business. Shops were seen open and markets were expected to open and get busy once the day progressed.
