Summary Shortfall of electricity yet stands at 3000 mega watt in the country.

LAHORE (Dunya News) Heavy quantity of water in dams has boosted Hydel power generation by 6,250 mega watt but yet the challenge of energy crisis is yet to overcome. 

According to National Transmission & Dispatch Company (NTDC) officials, about 13,600 mega watt electricity is being generated in the country while its consumption is 16,810 mega watt.

In nutshell, IPPs are generally generating 5540 mega watt while 1810 mega watt is going to be generated out of thermal resources.

Due to shortfall, rural as well as urban areas are bound to face loadshedding for more than 10 and seven hours consecutively.
