Supreme Court has summoned Major Ibrahim and IG Frontier Constabulary in missing persons case on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.Justice Javed Iqbal wondered that what kind of democracy was being observed in the country where there was no respect for human rights, adding that how much heinous a crime were no one could be detained illegally.During the hearing of missing Mustafa Azams case, Justice Javed Iqbal remarked that it seemed as if we were living in Gestapo reign where anybody could be picked. He said that the court has repeatedly been saying that action would be taken against the culprits but there is always a mention of brigadiers and majors, in missing persons case. He directed FC to do only those things which have been specified under the law, adding that its interference in civilian matters should not exceed the directives passed to it. Justice Javed deplored that the system was on the verge of total collapse but any interference by the court would be termed as intransigence. He added that it seemed as if there was no accountability at any level.
