Dense fog engulfs Punjab, Motorway M2 and M3 closed

Several parts of Punjab have once again been engulfed by thick fog as G.T. Road and Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad Motorway have been closed for all kinds of traffic, reported Dunya News on Wednesday.Punjab is surrounded by thick fog these days, causing cancellation and delays of flights and trains for indefinite period while daily routine has also been blown a hard hit, witnesses said. According to Motorway officials, all sections of Lahore-Islamabad and Pindi Bhattian- Faisalabad Motorway have been closed for traffic while Lahore-Gujranwala and Lahore-Multan G.T. Road are also engulfed by thick fog. The traffic on Sialkot-Narowal road has dropped significantly due to thick fog and further decrease of mercury. The MET office revealed that the visibility distance is zero from Lahore to Multan. Motorway Police has directed the commuters to use fog lights and stop moving ahead in case of thick fog.
