Traders seek written assurance of compensation for loss of property

The traders affected by the violent incidents after Karachi Ashura blast, while stoutly protesting, demanded written guarantee of the compensation for the loss of property as Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik and Governor Sindh Ishrat ul Ebad visited Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dunya News reported Tuesday.The traders standing outside the KCCI building demanded written guarantee from Rehman Malik - as he came out after meeting the delegation of traders - for compensation of loss of property due to torching of markets by angry mob after Karachi Ashura blast. The protestors said we are fed up of verbal guarantees. We need written assurance of the compensation for the damage to the property.The interior minister kept requesting the traders to remain silent while Farooq Sattar also tried for settlement however Rehman Malik and Governor Sindh had to leave as traders refused to calm down.
