Summary An earthquake measuring 5.5 on Richter scale hit different parts of Pakistan on Saturday morning.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale struck a number of cities across Pakistan including Islamabad‚ Lahore, Gujranwal, Abbottabad and adjoining areas on early Saturday morning.
According to details, the quake shook the areas around 2:37am (PST), spreading panic among the people, however no loss of life or property was reported. People rushed out of their homes and began praying.
Metrological Department sources informed that the epicenter of the earthquake was located some 119 km away from Islamabad in Srinagar in Indian-held Kashmir at the depth of 10 km.
