Mian Channu: Dacoit killed in police encounter
One dacoit was injured while the other managed to escape.
MIAN CHANNU (Dunya News) - One robber was held while the other got killed in police encounter. The third accomplice had managed to escape.
According to the details, in a suburban village of Mian Channu, a police party from Sadre Police station spotted three robbers and tried to stop them. On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire on the police.
The police fired in retaliation killing Riaz died on the spot. Another dacoit was seriously injured while the third one managed to flee from the scene. The injured robber has been removed to Tehsil Headquarters hospital. The police has registered the case and is looking for the third culprit.
Earlier, the Lahore police party raided a factory on Baidian Road near Suay Aasil on a tip off and shot dead five proclaimed offenders after an encounter while two others managed to escape.Police sources informed that those killed in encounter were dacoits and were wanted by police in several heinous crimes.Police identified the dead dacoits as Babar, Irfan, Tanvir, Imran and Mohsin. According to police, the accused were also involved in killing of Asif Ashraf, a PML-N candidate in 2008 general elections.
