Summary JI candidate Mian Aslam from NA-48 will withdraw his nomination papers soon.

 

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Sunday decided to boycott by-elections in national assembly constituency NA-48 due to danger of possible rigging by the government side.

 

The party blamed that the administrative officers like Chairman CDA, IG Islamabad, SSP and Chief Commissioner have been changed in Islamabad ahead of election.

 

After the announcement, candidate of JI from NA-48, Mian Aslam would withdraw his nomination papers soon.

 

Senior leader of JI, requesting anonymity told Online that chief of JI Islamabad, Mian Aslam would not contest by-elections as government has started malicious tactics to win the national assembly seat of federal capital.

 

“PML-N would not feel hesitation to break all the former records of rigging as it wants to win NA-48 seat at all costs”, JI leader added.

 

Mian Aslam, when contacted, while confirming the news of boycott told Online that party has not been taken the final decision till now but it is thinking to withdraw from the by-elections.

 

Mian Aslam regretted over the silence of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and demanded of the ECP to take notice of the issue immediately.
