Summary SC will hear several important cases, including suo motu case on loadshdding today (Monday).
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed will hear several important cases today at the principal seat in Islamabad, including suo motu case of loadshedding, misuse of discretionary powers in distribution of development funds by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and local bodies elections.
During previous hearing, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has ordered equal loadshedding throughout the country. Attorney General Munir A Malik inforemed that court that the government would develop a comprehensive energy policy soon which will be presented in the apex court.
The Supreme Court will also hear the case pertaining to misuse of discretionary powers in distribution of development funds by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
