Summary Says Raza Rabbani hails from smaller province and there were no corruption charges against him.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Senator Aitzaz Ashan has said that the Election Commission could not change date of presidential election.
Speaking to media on Saturday, the Senator said the Pakistan People’s Party has nominated Raza Rabbani because he hailed from smaller province and there were no corruption allegations against him.
He said prime minister, National Assembly speaker and Senate Chairman belonged to Punjab.
Aitzaz said that he would try to convince other opposition parties to support Raza Rabbani in the presidential election.
The PML-N would propose July 29 or 30 as new date for election after getting cooperation from other political parties.
