Summary PM Nawaz Sharif directs FO to chalk out strategy for meaningful dialogue with India, Afghanistan.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Saturday, directed the Foreign Office to formulate strategy for comprehensive dialogue with India and Afghanistan.


Addressing the FO officials, the prime minister said that prosperity of public and the promotion of cordial relations with neighbors were part of PML-N’s priorities.


He said Pakistan wanted restoration of peace in Afghanistan and it was not supporting any militant or political group in there.

“Our government wants cordial relations with all neighbouring countries including Afghanistan, Iran and India.”

He directed that the FO and Pakistani embassies abroad should work for promoting Pakistan’s economic interests.


He was briefed on foreign affairs, regional situations and relations with neighboring countries.


Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and other party leaders accompanied the PM in his visit to the Foreign Office.
