Power generation level of Tarbela Dam has reached its lowest as seven hydro power generation units of Tarbela Dam have been shut down. Supply of water to Rawalpindi and Islamabad is feared to be suspended after a week as water flow in Khanpur Dam has reduced, Dunya News reported Monday.According to Tarbela Dam officials, water level is only 56 feet above dead level. The inflow of water is 18000 cusec and outflow 28000 cusec. The power generation has lowered to 357MW due to water shortage and seven out of 14 power generation units have been shut down. Remaining seven units are not working at their full capacity either.On the other hand, Khanpur Dam officials told Dunya News that water level in the Dam is at 1925 feet which is only 15 feet above the dead level.
