ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Security agencies have failed in maintaining peace,’ said the Senate Standing Committee on Kashmir and Gilgit/Baltistan Affairs while condemning the killing of Chinese tourists at Nanga Parbat.
 

 

The standing Committee meeting was held on Monday in the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Senator Haji Adeel. The committee members, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and other top officials of the ministry participated in the meeting.
 

 

Mushahid Hussian Syed said attacks on GHQ, Mehran Camp, Kamra Base and Sri Lankan cricket team show the failure of our security forces. Mushahid further said that China might stop cooperating if we fail to bring peace in our country.
 

 

Former Gilgit/Baltistan IG said, “The police do not have adequate resources to cope with terrorism. He further said that police had no advanced information about the presence of Chinese tourist in the area.”
 

 

Federal Minister Bargis Chaudhry said country is facing the biggest challenge of terrorism. The government is seriously considering the situation of FATA, KP and Balochistan which have become a killing field for a long time.
 

 

Jahangir Badar, a committee member, said that committee members would visit the countries whose national have been killed in Nanga Parbat incident. He said the Prime Minister being the Chairman of Gilgit/Baltistan Council should call the council session.
