ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Presidential spokesman Senator Farhatullah Babar has said President Asif Ali Zardari will not contest election for the second term.
In a statement‚ he said the President will not resign from his office till the completion of his term.
Babar said the President has gone to Dubai from where he will proceed to London on a private visit. He strongly refuted rumours that the President will stay in London till the completion of his tenure. He said the President will return to Pakistan at all costs.
He said the government should publish report of Abbottabad Commission regarding killing of Osama Bin Laden. He said the report should also be presented in the parliament for debate.
Meanwhile, the printing of nomination papers for presidential elections have been completed. The chief election commissioner will perform the duties of returning officer and will sctrutinize the nomination papers.
