Summary Motorway Police say the accident occurred due to brake failure.

 

KALLAR KAHAR (Dunya News) – At least eight persons, including women and children died and several others injured when a passenger bus plunged into a ravine at Motorway near salt range.


According to Motorway Police sources, the accident occurred due to brake failure. The bus carrying 40 to 50 passengers was on its way from Rawalpindi to Faisalabad.


The operation was underway to rescue the passengers who buried under the bus while the wounded were being shifted to local hospitals for first-aid.

 

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic incident.
