Monsoon rains to continue in Punjab, KP, Kashmir

Summary Met office has predicted more rain across the country during next 24 hours.

 

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Saturday forecast rain with thundershower for isolated places of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Heavy falls are also expected at few places of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during the period. According to the synoptic situation, well marked seasonal low was lying over north Balochistan and adjoining areas.

 

Monsoon currents are reaching into upper and eastern parts of the country. A western disturbance is also affecting upper parts of the country and expected to persist during next 24 hours.

 

The maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Islamabad 35 C, Lahore 38 C, Karachi 36 C, Quetta 38 C, Peshawar 32 C, Skardu 26 C, Murree 23 C, Muzzafarabad 36 C, Gilgit 32 C, Faisalabad 39 C, Multan 40 C, Hyderabad 38C.

 

The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours Rawalpindi 68 mm, Saidusharif 55, Mallamjabba 38, Murree 34, Kakul 29, Islamabad 27, Balakot 23, Kalam 12, Zhob 11, Lahore and Dir 10, Drosh and Kotli 07, Garridupatta 06, Lower Dir 05, Mirkhani, Barkhan and Muzaffarabad 03 and Rawalakot 02mm.
