ISLAMABAD (Online) - Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said the present government will fulfill its all obligations according to constitution.

 

Talking to media on Thursday ‚ he said the government did not initiate any action against former President Pervez Musharraf and only submitted its reply before the Supreme Court under the constitution.

 

He said the government intends to further proceed the court proceedings in high treason case against Musharraf according to the directions of the Supreme Court.

 

Pervez Rashid said even if there was PPP Government in power today‚ the court would have issued the notices to it as it issued to the sitting government.

 

He termed the apprehensions of former army chief Aslam Beg regarding the proposed trial of Musharraf as baseless and expressed the confidence that all state institutions will work in their constitutional ambit‚ therefore there is no reason for any confrontation.

 

The Information Minister to a question said the government is making sincere efforts to overcome power load shedding and assured that electricity tariff will not be increased until provision of smooth power supply to the people.
