Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani visited Nishtar Hospital and Combined Military Hospital (CMH) to inquire after the injured of Qasim Bela blast in Multan on Sunday. Multan Corps Commander Lt Gen Shafqaat Ahmed and other officers received the PM on his arrival at CMH. The prime minister visited the Intensive Trauma Care (ITC) and surgical ward of CMH and inquired after injured personnel and other affectees. PM Gilani paid glowing tribute to martyrs and praised the injured after noticing their high morale and spirit.He lauded the performance of Jawans who acted timely and thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists. He said the Jawans timely action had saved greater losses and added that terrorists could not shake the governments resolve and commitment to eradicate terrorism. He said terrorists would be dealt with an iron hand. Three patients, including a woman and her daughter, were under treatment at the ITC while 10 soldiers were admitted to the surgical ward of CMH. The injured soldiers were in a stable condition. The PM also visited Nishtar Hospital where four injured people of the Qasim Bela blast were under treatment. Gilani inquired after the patients and directed doctors to provide them excellent treatment facilities. The prime minister assured the patients that government would extend all possible help and cooperation to the affected families. He said that he had already announced a compensation package which also included assistance for repair of damaged houses after an injured sought the PMs help for reconstruction of her home.
