Pakistan needs to put pressure on the leadership of Afghan Taliban opreating inside its borders to improve the situation in Afghanistan, Head of the US Central Command Gen David Petraeus has said. Addressing a security conference in Manama, Petraeus said, Pakistans security forces have carried out significant operations against Pakistani Taliban forces.There is recognition among the Pakistani leadership that the main threat to countrys writ is the internal extremism, he added.
