CNG stations are closed on second consecutive day on Sunday across Punjab and NWFP while gas supply to hundreds of industrial institutions has been suspended. Gas company officials have issued schedule of closure of CNG stations as part of load management program.According to Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Company (SNGPL), gas supply to hundreds of industrial units has been suspended under the load management program in Punjab and NWFP. The gas company has issued notifications to CNG station owners in various cities of the provinces for closing of CNG stations for twice-a-week. According to the issued schedule of closing CNG stations in Punjab and NWFP, CNG stations in Attock, Jehlum, Rawalpindi and Gojar Khan will remain closed from 6am on Monday to 6am on Wednesday whereas stations in Gujranwala and Peshawar will remain closed from December 16 to 18. Gas supply of CNG stations of Faisalabad and Bahawalpur will remain suspended from Dec 18 to 20. The people are facing problems in Lahore due to closure of all CNG stations while rickshaw drivers are also worried.
