Summary The total demand for power has come down after the recent rains in various parts of the country.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The total power shortfall faced by the country has declined to 3900MW with the improvement in weather. However, the masses are still facing 10-16 hours of loadshedding.
A spokesman of the Ministry of Water and Power said in Islamabad that electricity generation has increased to 12‚000 megawatts while the demand is 15‚900 megawatts.
However, the load-shedding is still being carried out for 16 hours in rural areas while the citizens of urban areas are facing 10-hour loadshedding.
